Employee wellness is so important, but how many companies are willing to dedicate time and energy towards it?
Most workplace wellness sessions are often a one-hour session squeezed in during lunch time or a weekend initiative. But employees don't want to spend their free time on workplace wellness. That's THEIR time to spend with their families, it's when they go for a walk or take a nap.
Instead, companies should regard workplace wellness as a form of performance training.
Wellness sessions should be held during work hours, even off-site, so that employees are given the time to understand how to improve their lifestyle which will ultimately improve their work performance.
Dedicating time, effort and resources to workplace wellness is the difference between providing for your employees and really valuing them.
